Donate things

Give things a new life! Donate to the Re-use Centre

Everyone has things at home or in the office that they no longer need and that just take up room. Bring them to the Re-use Centre if they’re in good condition so they don’t end up in landfill and can serve a new owner. Our shops and projects help your things find happy new owners. By doing this, we also keep the environment cleaner and help those in need.

Anneta asjuIf you have things that are still usable, clean and in good condition, but you just don’t need them anymore, you can donate them to our shops. We accept anything that is in good condition, such as clothes, furniture, crockery, toys, books, shoes, accessories, hobby items, music/films, plants, household appliances and much more.

Donating is easy and you can do it in all of our shops during their opening hours. You’ll find a donation basket by the shop’s front door – you can leave your things there.

Don’t forget that we only accept things that are clean and in no need of repair. You cannot help us with things that are broken or unusable, so please put them in the bin or take them to a waste station.

We’ll send a van to collect large items!

Kaubik tuleb appiIf you would like to donate large items such as furniture or household appliances, the Re-use Centre will send its van to collect them! This is free of charge within the city borders (Tallinn, Tartu, Paide or Pärnu) if we think the item can be sold. Take a photo of the item you want to donate and send the information using the form below or e-mail it to us with your contact details at kaubik@uuskasutus.ee.

What will happen to my things?

All donated items are sorted by the Re-use Centre and those in good condition are then passed on to others to be used again. Some items are donated to people in need; the majority are sold at friendly prices.

We are helping:
10% large families

10% homeless

10%women’s shelters

10% animal shelters

10% school pupils’ firms and students

10% theatres and moviemakers

What will be done with the money raised from selling my things?

As a fully self-sustaining non-profit organisation, the Re-use Centre covers its operating expenses by selling the items donated. There are 15 Re-use Centres all over Estonia, not to mention its online store at pood.uuskasutus.ee. We open centres all over Estonia to ensure that re-use really is accessible to people not far from their homes. The Re-use Centre is constantly looking for ways of giving old things a new lease on life and works closely with craftsmen, theatres, filmmakers, art students and others. Thank you for donating!
